About Me
Hello,
My name is Ms. Letourneau. I have been a teacher at Tamanawis Secondary since 2015 and have been teaching in the Surrey school district since 2010. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, a Bachelor of Education Degree, a Graduate Diploma in Inclusive Education, and a Master's Degree in Educational Practice with a focus on engaging students in formative assessment practices.
I believe the classroom is a diverse place where students from all backgrounds and abilities come together and learn a range of information and the social skills needed to allow them to become successful members of society. It is a teacher’s responsibility to be respectful and sensitive to the needs, learning styles, and individuality of each student.
I believe letting students know what is expected of them will help them be successful. I consider myself a friendly, approachable, and fair teacher who is focused on helping her students reach their potential and become responsible individuals in the community.
